"Pulling Codes" Video

Because the counting of codes is (in my opinion) poorly worded in Haynes and other locations I have posted the video of Full Force's codes. In this video I used a Volt-ohn meter but if your "Check engine" light works it will flash the same pattern as the needle jumps.

In this video you will see:
1. a small flicker at the beginning of video- this tells you the codes will be sent soon.
2. first set of codes: 1 (jump), 1 (jump), 1 (jump). short break (approx 1 second) and 1,1,1 repeat
3. long break (approx 4 seconds)
4. a single jump- this tells you that the next set of codes will be the "Continuous" codes
5. long break (approx 4 seconds)
6. first set of continuous codes:
First set: 2, 1, 2, short break and 2, 1, 2 repeat
Second set: 3, 2, 7, short break and 3, 2, 7 repeat
A break
First set: 2, 1, 2, short break and 2, 1, 2 repeat
Second set: 3, 2, 7, short break and 3, 2, 7 repeat

In this case Full Force had:
111- system pass (computer/wiring is working)
212- Loss of IDM input to EEC or SPOUT circuit grounded
327- DPFE or EVP circuit below minimum voltage of 0.2 volts

Once you find codes, use the Haynes or other shop manual to troubleshoot the sensors.

Notes: This video is meant to show the counting procedure only. The procedure for how to prepare for the test can be found in the codes chart pdf (above) or on this link.
If your Bronco is pre-1992 it will have 2 digit codes, 1993-96 uses 3 digit codes.
